The mistake we see most: People arrive expecting the visa to be the only cost. Bali charges its own tourist levy on top, paid separately to the province. It's small, but being surprised by it at the airport isn't fun.

Indonesia (Bali) visa — common questions

Is this valid for Bali?

Yes — it's valid for Bali and the whole of Indonesia, including Jakarta, Lombok and Yogyakarta.

Can I extend my 30 days?

Yes. This visa can normally be extended once inside Indonesia for another 30 days, through an immigration office or an agent in Bali.

Is there anything else to pay when I arrive in Bali?

Bali charges its own tourist levy on foreign visitors, paid separately from your visa. We'll remind you how to pay it before you fly.

My passport is Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi — can I apply?

Sri Lankan passport holders need a different visa type, and Bangladeshi passport holders aren't eligible for this one. Message us first and we'll tell you what applies.

What do I have to send?

Passport scan and a photograph. We'll ask for your flight and hotel details if your case needs them.

And if I am not eligible?

You get a full refund. We check your passport before anything is submitted, not after.
