The mistake we see most: Names entered differently from the passport. A missing middle name or a swapped order is the commonest reason an authorisation doesn't match at immigration. We copy yours exactly as printed.

Sri Lanka visa — common questions

What does double entry mean?

You can enter Sri Lanka twice within the 30-day validity. Useful if you're taking a side trip to the Maldives or India and coming back.

Can I stay past 30 days?

Yes. A tourist stay can normally be extended inside Sri Lanka, usually up to around 90 days in total, through the immigration department in Colombo.

Do I need a hotel booking or return ticket to apply?

For the application itself we only need your passport. Immigration may still ask to see onward travel and accommodation when you land, so have them ready.

How fast is it?

Sri Lanka is one of the quickest — usually same day or next day. We still suggest applying a few days before you fly.

Do children need their own authorisation?

Yes. Every traveller needs one in their own name, including infants. Send us each passport and we file them together.

What if there is a problem with my passport?

We look at it before submitting. If there is an issue we cannot fix, you get your money back in full.
